Actividades Culturales 2010

Actividades en Nueva York - Spanish Lounge de Pace University

Students in select Advanced Spanish Classes must attend at least 3 Cultural Activities per semester.

Please note: To receive credit for each cultural activity you attend, you must turn in to your professor a written (in Spanish), typed, 1/2-page description of the event you attended, including a description of the event and your evaluation of it--did you enjoy it, etc. This must be submitted within one week after the event takes place (not at the end of the semester; submissions will not be accepted during exam week). · Additional Activities will be announced and posted during the semester. Listen in class, and check this webpage often. If you have information about a cultural activity, please inform your professor so that it can be announced to others and added to the webpage. · If you attend a cultural activity not on the list, please turn in a program or other printed description of the event along with your written paragraph to document the event. · Please plan your attendance at cultural activities from the beginning of the semester; do not ask your professor "what can I do?" at the end of the semester. Your professors have planned and sponsored most of these events, and will not be able to think up a special activity just for you, especially at the end of the semester. · If you are prevented from attending 3 cultural activities, and wish to petition for a substitution assignment, you must give your professor by the end of the 11th week of classes written, official documentation with dates to show why you were prevented from attending events. Your professor will decide if your reasons justify a substitution assignment (cultural research project, etc.). Substitution assignments will be rarely granted. Plan to attend these activities. After the 11th week of classes, professors will not consider substitution requests except in extreme documented emergencies.
